TAMARACK WELLNESS CENTER
Under new ownership in the summer of 2003, Tamarack Wellness Center (TWC) in Eugene installed 2,240 square feet of glazed solar collectors on the facility's indoor therapy pool and spa complex - the largest commercial combination solar pool and hot water system in Oregon. In addition, TWC installed a 2000 square foot PV Parking Shade structure, which doubles as a solar generator and a protected area for staff parking. This 24 KW PV system is grid-tied to an EWEB transformer nearby, and sends power directly into the residential neighborhood adjacent to TWC. Under a pilot program from the utility, TWC receives 25 cents per kilowatt hour for all its solar power generation for the next 10 years
