Project Description

Advanced Energy Systems completed a 7 collector solar water heating system for the Northwest Youth Corps in 2010. The array consists of 7 Schuco solar thermal collectors, a 120 gallon tank, an 80 gallon tank, an on-demand water heater for backup, and hot water storage tank. This solar water heating system will produce approximately 2,600 kWh in the first year of operation, and more than 88,000 kWh over the course of its lifetime, offsetting 1,000 tons of CO2 emissions
