PEPSI COLA
Pepsi Cola of Klamath Falls installed 172 KW of photovoltaic (PV) modules on 3 facilities in Lakeview and Klamath Falls in the Fall of 2004. The main facility has the largest roof integrated solar panel system in the Pacific Northwest totally 132 KW. 1,048 solar laminates are bonded to its standing seam metal roof. All 3 PV systems are designed to supply up to 100% of the buildings' loads on an annual basis. These are the first commercial "net zero" buildings in Oregon, where the amount of solar energy falling on the rooftop of the building is sufficient to power the entire business operation. The first 4 years of "green tags" from this project have been acquired for Pacificorp's "Blue Sky" program. There are 2 net metered sites and 1 "qualifying facility" (QF). This is the first solar electric QF in Pacificorp's history.
