PACIFIC COOPERATIVE
In November of 2002 Pacific Cooperative installed a 25.2 KW PV System in downtown Eugene with 144 solar modules in two rows, each 200 feet long on the registered historic building, a former egg taking station. A low profile mounting system was specified as part of the approval process. Grey/silver mono crystal panels were specified to blend in with the corrugated metal roofs on both upper and lower levels of the building. 12 Sunny Boy inverters process the power from the two roofs and supply 3 phase 208/120V electricity to the local utility, EWEB. An educational monitoring panel is located on the main level, where analog gauges display individual PV sub array outputs and total system KW output. This display is designed to integrate with the historic nature of the building's interior.
