OAK STREET MEDICAL
Doctors Craig and Kirk Jacobson, the owners of Oak Street Medical P.C., have pioneered a new paradigm in the way that Oregon businesses green their energy. They have accomplished this by both generating solar electricity on site as well financially supporting other solar projects in Oregon. The combination of solar generation and green tag purchasing has made their facility 100% climate neutral.
This 14 KW system is installed on a parking shade structure, erected in the Oak St. Medical parking lot. The structure is 75’ long and 16’ wide and supports 88 – Sharp 160 watt modules. The array is 4 rows high by 22 modules long. Each row is subdivided into 2 sub-arrays of 11 modules each and feeds a PV Powered 2800 watt inverter. There are 4 inverters, connected via a sub-panel to the main service. The metal roof structure provides shade as well as generating electricity. The panels are stand-off mounted on DPW Power rails with 6” clearance under the cells for ventilation.
