ENGELMANN BECKER
Engelmann Becker Corporation of Eugene installed a 14.8 KW photovoltaic system in November of 2005. The project is the first Sun-Link non-ballasted rack system for a flat-roof application in Oregon. These racks are tilted up at 20º facing the south. There are a total of 72 modules divided into 8 strings of 9 modules per string. 2 strings of modules feed an SMA 3800 208V inverter. There are 4 SMA 3800 inverters in parallel connected via a sub-panel to the main 400 amp 3 phase service. These inverters are equipped with the new Sunny Antennas, and a Sunny Beam receiver is located at the receptionist desk. In this manner the inverters transmit data through wireless communication to the business at all times.
