Cafe' Yumm! Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held

Cafe' Yumm! unveiled their new 41kW solar electric project to the public on October 26th with a ribbon cutting ceremony. This innovative project combined a rooftop solar system, a covered solar parking structure, and 6 EV charging stations. As the first restaurant to offer both solar and EV charging in Oregon, Cafe' Yumm continues to be the leader in sustainability and organic and sustainable practices.When commissioned Cafe' Yumm! will be generating electricity from the sun to offset usage in the restaurant, and also power Electric Vehicle charging stations. Advanced Energy Systems of Eugene is the primary design and installation partner on the project. Joining Cafe' Yumm! and AES at the ribbon cutting were Oregon Senator Ron Wyden, Eugene Mayor Kitty Piercy and others along with a display of electric vehicles.
